2023 Riskies Awards
Overview
In collaboration with the Maurice Greenberg School of Risk Management at the J. Mack Robinson School of Business, Georgia State University (GSU), Organized Khaos Events was entrusted with the comprehensive planning and execution of the prestigious Riskies Awards. This marked GSU’s first endeavor with a third-party contractor for their flagship event, underscoring the importance and high expectations placed upon our event planning services. Our role encompassed all facets of event management, from initial consultations to the final applause at the awards ceremony.
Planning
Our engagement began with detailed consultations with GSU and the event’s sponsor to clearly define the event goals and objectives. This ensured that all planning align with the vision of the Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Science. We meticulously managed the event budget, resources, and schedule, ensuring that all financial and logistical aspects were handled efficiently. Coordination with multiple departments was crucial, particularly in confirming award recipients, which required precise and transparent communication.
Marketing and design elements were developed in collaboration with GSU’s internal teams, creating a cohesive and professional visual identity for the event. Organized Khaos also took on the responsibility of managing student volunteers, event staff, and coordinating with tech, lighting, and setup vendors. Our team ensured that every detail, from the reception to the awards ceremony, was executed flawlessly. This included overseeing the reception’s ambiance and the seamless flow into the awards presentation.
On-Site Management
On the day of the event, Organized Khaos Events managed a team of student volunteers, event staff, and various vendors, including those responsible for technology, lighting, and setup. Our meticulous attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the event was seamless, from the technical setup to the hospitality for the guests. The Riskies Awards ceremony succeeded in recognizing and celebrating the careers of high-achieving business executives in the insurance and risk management industries, a reflection of the commitment and expertise brought by our team. The event not only highlighted the achievements of the honorees but also underscored the collaborative spirit between GSU and Organized Khaos Events, setting a high standard for future engagements.
